Our Mission

A Place Built Around Hope

Kyler’s Torch Foundation is a locally founded and operated nonprofit in Greenville, North Carolina, created to help prevent veteran suicide and support the people who love them.

Our work is rooted in connection, purpose, nature, hands-on skills, and community. We are building something designed specifically for veterans and military families in eastern North Carolina.

“Our mission is to defeat suicide. We provide resources for those in need of help and the people who love them.”

The Resiliency & Wellness Center

A Place to Heal Through Purpose

At 2850 East Fire Tower Road, we are developing a 2.65-acre farmstead that will become the home of the Resiliency & Wellness Center.

The property includes an 1870 farmhouse, a gambrel barn with an upper loft, finished workshops, and plans for a greenhouse, pond, and orchard.

The Center will be intentionally non-clinical and low-impact, creating opportunities for daytime programming built around nature, hands-on skills, recreation, and camaraderie.

How It Will Work

Four Paths Toward Resiliency

The Center will focus on practical, hands-on experiences that create connection and purpose rather than clinical treatment.

01

Horticultural Therapy

Working with plants, gardens, and the natural environment to create meaningful routines and opportunities for growth.

02

Vocational Wellness

Hands-on projects and practical skills that encourage confidence, purpose, learning, and accomplishment.

03

Camaraderie

Creating opportunities for veterans and military families to build relationships and rediscover community.

04

Recreation

Outdoor activities and shared experiences that encourage connection, movement, enjoyment, and renewed purpose.

Why This Matters

Built for Eastern North Carolina

North Carolina has one of the country’s largest veteran populations. Greenville serves as a medical and commercial hub for Pitt County and surrounding rural communities, creating an opportunity to bring resources closer to veterans who may otherwise face significant travel barriers.
